Columbia Fancy Yoke for Chemise, Night Robe or Corset Covers

free crochet yoke pattern

MATERIAL: Columbia Mercerized Crochet (Art. 200), White No. 40. Columbia Steel Crochet Hook No. 11.

INSTRUCTIONS: Chain 18, 1 D. C. into 3rd Ch. from hook, 23 form one sleeve, break thread and work one more D. C. over rest of Ch. 1 D. C. into last stitch, 3 sleeve in same way, break thread. Ch. turn.
Row 2-1 D. C. into each of first 2 stitches, 3 Ch. for picot, skip 1 D. C. 2 D. C. into next two stitches, 1 P., skip 1 stitch, 2 D. C. into next 2 stitches, repeat over all the 26 D. C. making 7 P. with 2 D. C. between and 3 D. C. at each end, 15 Ch., turn.
Row 3-Skip the first 2 P.'s, 1 Sg. C., into next P. 3 Ch. turn.
Row 4-24 D. C. over loop of 15 Ch., 1 D. C. into last stitch, 3 Ch., turn.
Row 5-2 D. C. over first 2 stitches 1 P. * skip 1 stitch, 2 D. C. into next 2 stitches, 1 P. repeat from * until 7 P.'s are made, 3 D. C. at end, 15 Ch. turn.
Repeat pattern from row 3 until 24 bars are made, join the first bar to last bar to form one sleeve, break thread and work one more sleeve in same way, break thread.
Join thread into one of the bars, Ch. 15 join into 3rd P. of next bar on same side, skipping the bar between, and start working pattern back on 15 Ch., work 24 bars for front of yoke, join on to second sleeve, now leave 8 bars on sleeve for bottom of armhole, join thread same as before on 9th bar and work 20 bars for back of yoke, joining on 9th bar of sleeve, break thread.
Join thread into point of bar on centre back, 15 Ch. 1 Sg. C. down into space where two bars meet, 10 Sg. C. back on half of loop just made, 7 Ch., 1 Sg. C. into point of next bar, 15 Ch., 1 Sg. C. between two bars, 10 Sg. C. back over loop, 7 Ch., 1 Sg. C. into point of next bar, repeat this all around top and bottom of yoke and around armholes, leaving off the 7 Ch. in the corners, where sleeves, front, and back meet, to 1 P. 2 D. prevent ruffling.
BEADING. 2 H, Tr. over last of 10 Sg. C., 5 Ch., 2 H. Tr. in centre of 10 Ch., 5 Ch., 2 H. Tr. over last of 10 Sg. C., 5 Ch., repeat * all around top of yoke, 5 Ch., 1 Sg. C. over each space of H. Tr. all around. Finish with 1 D. C. 1 P. 1 D. C. * in every loop of 5 Ch., finish sleeves in same way as last 3 rows of yoke.
Bottom of yoke work 1 D. C. 2 Ch. 1 D. C. all around, sew to garment with overcast stitch, draw ribbons through beading, and tie bows on sleeves . and front of yoke.
